[Description]
Tsukuroumi Castle is located in Takeoka, Futtsu City, Chiba Province.
It is said that the castle was built by [Mariyatsu Nobuoki] in Kansho 2 year (1461).

Tenmon 2 year (1533), [Satomi Sanetaka], the uncle of Satomi Yoshitoyo was suddenly attacked by Yoshitoyo. [Yoshitaka], the son of Sanetaka asked assitance from [Hojo Ujitsuna].

Yoshitaka became the head of Mr. Satomi. Tenmon 6 year (1537), intense domestic conflict broke out between [Mariyatsu Nobumasa] who depended on [Ashikaga Yoshiaki], and [Nobutaka] who depended on Hojo Ujitsuna.

At that time, Yoshitaka was dealt with Mr. Hojo, and acting with Mr. Ashikaga. He attacked Nobutaka and chased to Miura Island.

After that, when Oyumi Kubou was defeated and died at the 1st Kokufu Battle (battle between Ashikaga Yoshiaki and Hojo Ujitsuna), Satomi who participated in this battle was also forced to withdraw. And [Tsukuroumi Castle] was occupied by Mr. Hojo for a while.

Eitoku 10 year (1567), Mr. Satomi attacked Mr. Hojo again, and Tsukuroumi Castle was the important navy base of Mr. Satomi .Tensho 18 year (1590), when Satomi was sealed down to Awano Country, [Tsukuroumi Castle] was abandoned.

At the end of Tokugawa period, a boat was built at the castle ruins for maritime defense, and the remains are still there. Stones, empty moats, soil, well are left.
