Musashi One of the seven parties of the Kodama Party Mr. Honjo’s castle “Honjo Castle”.

[Description ]
Honjo Castle is the Castle on the plains that was in Honjo City, Saitama Prefecture.
It is said that it was built by Honjo, a family of “Kodama Party”, one of the Musashi Nanatou Party.
“Honjo Tadashida” moved from Higashi Honjou pavilion in order to catch the Koga Kubouke house, after which it was set as the headquarters. In Eiroku 10 years (1567), Hojo of Sagami was fallen forcibly, surrender and follow this.

Tensho 18 (1590), when Toyotomi Hideyoshi raised the army of Hojo conquest, Mr. Honjo crowned to Odawara Castle, and self-suffered during falling castle. Honjo castle also fell in May of the same year, Mr. Honjo of Musashi country which has dominated the land of Honshu from the Kamakura period was destroyed.
After Hojo’s destruction, Tokugawa Ieyasu worshiped Kanto, and Honjo Castle entered the “Ogasawara Nobumine” by Ieyasu Takeshi at 10,000 Jewels. Honjo castle became abandoned when Keiichi 17th year (1612) Ogasawara family increased to Koga clan.

When castle becomes abandoned castle, Honjo Inn will be formed near the castle town. The current Honjo Castle Ruins are located near the Honjo City Hall, where the remains of dust and bentles and the like are left.
