The result of the battle came out in one day, Daimyos who under Ishida Mitsunari were killed, and their territories were forfeited. Mr. Uesugi’s salary decreased from 1200000 stones to 300000 stones and finally he was replaced and escapted.

On the other hand, [Kasuga Mountain Castle] which was ruled by Mr. Uesugi was made of soil and empty moats and established an important defensive place. After Mr. Uesugi was asked to transfer to Aizu, the castle became abandoned. A new castle was built near Fukushima. A renovation and repair is going on on the current Kasuga Mountain Castle. In addition, it has been selected the No.32 of 100 famous castles in Japan.
