Uchinomaki Castle is a flatland castle during Chusei•Kinsei, located in Uchinomaki, Aso City, Kumamoto Province.

[Sassa Narimasa] conquered Higo Country after Toyotomi Hideyoshi finished Kyushu Battle, but he was not able to rule his territory and was held down for crime. After that, when [Kato Kiyomasa] ruled Higo Country, [Kato Yoshishige•Masakata] were appinted as Uchinomaki Castle officer.

Keicho 17 year (1612), Kato Masakata moved to [Yatsushiro Castle], and Kato Masanao moved to Uchinomaki Castle from [Iwao Castle]. Genwa 2 year (1616), Uchinomaki Castle was abandoned due to One Country One Castle Policy.
