Home of Yoshikiyo Murakami, the biggest general in Hokushin who defeated Shingen Takeda twice

Katsurao Castle is the home of Yoshikiyo Murakami, the most powerful general in northern Hokushin. He is known for defeating Shingen Takeda (Harunobu Takeda) twice in the battle of Uedahara and Sieges of Toishi.
But his power started to diminish after his people started to turn against him under the influence of Yukitaka Sanada (Yukimura Sanada’s grandfather) from the Shingen force. Ultimately, Katsurao Castle was taken and Yoshikiyo Murakami fled to Echigo, where Shingen Uesugi ruled.
This was one of the reason why battle of Kawanakajima took place.
