The main castle of Mr. Nanbu until Nanbu Nobunao moved his residence to Morioka Castle.

[Description]
Sannohe Castle is a flatland-mountain castle located in Umenai, Sannohe Town, Sannohe Gun, Aomori Province. It is said that in Tenmon 8 year (1539), [Nanbu Harumasa] moved his main castle from [Shojuji Pavilion] to here.

Tensho 10 year (1582), Harumasa•Harutsugu died, [Nanbu Nobunao] inherited Mr. Nanbu of Sannohe and entered Sannohe Castle. Tensho 18 year (1590), when Toyotomi Hideyoshi launched [the Battle of Kobawara], Nobunao met Hideyoshi and handed over his territories.

Tensho 19 year (1591), when Kunohe Masazane Chaos was settled, Sannohe Castle was invited to modern castle. It is considered that three story oar of three floors was built in Honmaru.

Kanei 10 year (1634), when [Morioka Castle] was selected as the main castle, Sannohe Castle was called Gofuru Castle. After that, it was fully functioned as the offier of Mr. Nanbu until the end of Shogunate.

[Castle Park] is built on the current Sannohe Castle. Showa 42 year (1967), simulated Tenshu was built and it became Historical Information Pavilion. Heisei 1 year (1989), the gate was repaired.
