It was the residence of Nobumitsu, the younger brother of Oda Nobuhide in Tenmon 4 year (1535), but [Oda Nobutomo] of Kiyosu Castle was destroyed by the joint army of Oda Nobunaga and Nobumitsu. As a result, Nobunaga became the owner of Kiyosu Castle and gave [Nagoya Castle] to Hidemitsu.

In addition, Hidemitsu’s younger brother [Oda Nobutsugu] entered Moriyama Castle. However, since Nobunaga’s younger brother [Hidetaka] was killed by Nobutsugu’s vassall [Suga Saizo], Nobutsugu ran away because he was worried that someone would take revenge. After Nobutsugu left, Nobunaga’s brother [Nobutoki] took over the castle. After he was killed by Nobutsugu’s vassal [Tsunoda Singo] and other forces, Moriyama Castle lost its owner again.
